VNIRTM DAPI (4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole, dihydrochloride) is a blue emitting fluoroscent stain Having strong binding affinity A-T rich regions of dsDNA. The dye is extensively used in Fluoroscence microscopy and Flow cytometry applications. The dye is generally used for staining fixed cells. They are cell impermeable but they are known to permeate cells at higher concentrations.
